What's New at MoresportsWe're Back and Ready for another Great Year! Welcome Back! Welcome Back! Welcome Back Tigers! Welcome to the Midtown Tigers. Hope everyone had a great summer and are ready to begin another great year. Schools should be well into their curriculum which means we will be coming around promoting very soon. This year we have 7 programs running for the fall 2009. The programs include Fastbreak Basketball, Fastbreak Girls Basketball, Smash Badminton, BSS Girls Volleyball, So You Wanna Dance, Floor Hockey and ACRiX (Circus Arts Program). All programs will be run on Saturdays starting on October 17th to December 5th. The only exception is So You Wanna Dance will also be offer be offered every Tuesday starting on October 20th to December 8th.
If you would like to participate in our program, you may pick up a registration form from participating schools, online or at Mount Pleasant or Riley Park Community Centre or through our link - Midtown Tigers Fall 2009 Registration Form. The cost ranges from $20 to $40. Furthermore, if there is anyone who would like to volunteer please contact Ny Lath, the MoreSports Midtown Hub Coordinator at nlath@vsb.bc.ca

Smash Badminton (Grade 4-7 Boys & Girls)
Learn the basics of badminton through instruction, team and individual play, simulated games, and in-house tournaments.
BSS Girls Volleyball (Grade 4-7)
Learn the basics of this competitive and social game. Bump, set, spike, fun!
Floor Hockey (Grade 2-5 Coed)
Learn the fundamentals of Canada’s national winter sport through energetic, exciting drills and team play. Equipment supplied.
Fastbreak Girls Basketball (Grade 2-7)
Fastbreak Boys Basketball (Grade 2-7)
A great introduction to the game of basketball, with an emphasis on fairplay, leadership and teamwork. Coaches will be teaching the fundamentals of basketball. Beginner to advanced players welcome!
So You Wanna Dance (Grade 3-7 Boys & Girls)
Come out and learn styles you have seen in videos and on TV-from Hip Hop to Broadway. Styles covered will focus on student interest, with a performance for family and friends at the end. What are you waiting for? Let’s get moving and grooving for the “luv of it!”
ACRiX - Circus Arts Program (Grade 4-7 Boys & Girls)
Participants in this program and learn how to juggle using various props (diabolos, flowersticks, yo-yos), learn gymnastics skills (rolls, handstands, balancing), teamwork and acrobatics. Participants will put together a routine for a performance on the last day of class.
