What's New at MoresportsU13 Fasbreak Boys Basketball Team So another Provincial basketball season has come and gone ... This years Fastbreak u13 provincial team had its most members ever (17) . The team had their first tournament back in mid March . The hosting site was the Burnaby Eagles Metro Club tourney . The team won its first 2 games on the Friday evening and came short on the Saturday losing 3. The Fastbreak team finished with a 2 n 3 record and came in 4 th place in that tournament the best finish ever sonce playing in the Burnaby tournament and Brad Gibson (Fastbreak member) was named team MVP of the Burnaby Eagles tournament. Way to go boys !!!!! There was one more tournament this past Easter Long weekend . Coach Knight and the team was pumped and ready to go . The Basketball Bc Club championship tourney is the biggest tournament for these clubs. The first game Fastbreak played against Delbrook . These two teams went back and forth the entire game and with 20 seconds left Carlo Glavez for Fasbreak hit a go ahead 2 pt . Then Delbrook had no time outs and went end to end and made layup to tie . OVERTIME!!!!! So just like the 4th quater it went back and forth . With tenseconds left fastbreak was down by 2pts bradly Gibson for Fastbreak recieved a pass and went for the game winning shot and it rimmed out . So Fastbreak lost by 2 pts , the second game Fastbreak blew out North Delta 50 - 20 . The third game on that Friday Champlian played BSMC and lost to htem by 5pts . Saturday the boys played Athelite and blew them out 55- 19 and came 5th overall with anotehr personal team best finish in the Basketball Bc Club Championship. The Fastbreak boys team had a long and busy weekend and coach Knight had something to say after the tournament about his team " The team played hard all weekend and enjoyed themselves . We only had like a month pratice and most of these teams practice 2-3months to prepare for these tourneys. I am going to miss some of the members who are going into highschool and hoping they take this experience with them into highschool . They all represented Fastbreak East Fraserview with excellent sportsmanship ! I am very proud of the team " Congrats again to the 2010 U13 East Fraserview "Fastbreak " Clube team . |
