As top level European Squads go head-to-head for the UEFA Cup and the hometown MLS Whitecaps suit up to face  the Colorado Rapids, Vancouver’s east side kids will have their own day in the sun this Saturday at the 7th annual SoccerJam.

This event of 3000+  participants, welcomes 1500 children, 300 youth volunteers from the organizations leadership development program, YELL and 50 volunteer officials from the BC Soccer Association.

To provide an atmosphere of belonging and share the value of recreation, MoreSports organizes the city’s largest day of ‘soccer friendlies’ for Vancouver’s  most at-risk children and youth. We are very excited to have a new permanent home on the Trillium turf fields, which were created for the benefit of east side residents with 2010 Legacy funds. Often marginalized through economic, language, cultural and family circumstances, the SoccerJam participants and their families are invited out for an affordable, inclusive and community-building day.

WHO:                   4000+ East side parents, youth and kids
WHAT:                 Daylong Soccer Tournament & Festival
WHEN:                 Saturday, June 16th   9 am to 4 pm
WHERE:               580 Malkin Avenue (at Thornton Street), adjacent to Vancouver Train Terminal

Join us on Saturday for an exceptional day of fun and sport for all!
