  • JumpStart Helps Elementary Leaders - Dec 1, 2010

     We wish to thank JumpStart for supporting and enhancing Leadership and Playground Games for Inner City kids in East Vancouver. Through their support, MoreSports/YELL was able to provide leadership training for grade 6 & 7 students to lead grade K-2 students in fun play ground games. This kids are often ESL (english as a second language), new immigrants, and/or At-Risk Youth, who when engaged young become amazing leaders....

  • Mentoring for Elementary Schools - Sep 20, 2010

     This year, YELL and MoreSports with the help of Canadian Tire and the Community Schools Teams will be expanding their Y2 Mentoring Program.   Y2 Mentoring involves connecting the Secondary School Leadership Mentors with the Elementary Leadership Learners once a month.   Last year 5 elementary schools and 2 Secondary Schools participated in the program, this year the program has expanded to 12 elementary  and 3 secondary schools....

John Oliver Wrestling Team finished its longest season ever and proved it was a force to be reckoned with at the 2010 Canadian Cadet Wrestling Championship held April 9-11 at Simon Fraser University.
